Please be advised that the Fire Danger Index (FDI) for Broward County has been elevated to HIGH The Fire Danger Index (FDI) estimates the potential for a fire to start and require suppression action on any given day.  It does not consider how quickly any fires that do start will grow, or how difficult they will be to suppress.

Attached Florida active wildfires map includes the Dragonfly wildfire in Broward County which is currently burning at 24,000 acres as of this morning.  No structures are in danger at this time.  All lanes of I-75 in Alligator Alley remain open, however, FHP troopers in the area are monitoring smoke conditions, and they will advise if the roadway closes at any point today.
