About Us

    The Public Risk Management Association is North America's largest risk management association dedicated solely to the practice of risk management in the public sector. Our members handle risk management, safety and insurance for local and state governments. We provide education, training, professional development, and publications. You and your organization benefit by learning how to lower losses and save precious public funds. South Florida PRIMA is the South Florida chapter of this organization. We are here to serve you.     Scholarships Awarded For Attendance At PRIMA State and National Conferences

    Each year the South Florida PRIMA Chapter awards Financial Scholarship(s) to PRIMA members in GOOD STANDING for the purpose of attending the PRIMA State Conference in October and National Conference in June.  The decision to award a scholarship is dependent upon the financial position of the South Florida Chapter.  PRIMA National Conference’ 2017 is being held in Phoenix, Arizona, and the State Conference’ 2017 will be held in Orlando, Florida.  The scholarship(s) are limited and will be awarded based upon financial need of the requesting entity and availability of funds from the Chapter.  Prior scholarship awards will also be considered; the Board encourages “first time” conference attendees to apply.
